I bought this jewelry box for my wife for mothers day. She doesn't have a lot of jewelry, but enough in that she could use something more organized then a bunch of little boxes!
I wasn't sure what to expect with an all leather jewelry box. I really wanted to get her a wooden box with the fancy inlays, but I couldn't justify the cost of one. When I came across this, the size, color and the quality (from what I could tell) seemed perfect.
As shown in the picture, there are several storage compartments. The box on the lower left can be used as a portable box, which I thought was very nice. The front face of the box is actually held in place by invisible magnets. Surprisingly, they work quite well to keep it in place.
As in other jewelry boxes, the security key seems to be more show than anything else. It does add a nice touch and looks nice with a cloth tassel.
Depending on how you use the mirror on the top lid, it may be nearly useless. You can use it to see how jewelry looks on your wrist or fingers, but looking directly at it is somewhat difficult because of the angle of the top lid.
I happened to buy this at a really good offer through a market place seller. I would advise you to seek that deal before out right buying at the price listed.
