Cheapest Skate 3

Ok, first off this game does improve a LOT on SKATE 2 in some areas, but IMO its overly glitchy especially online, and lacks a lot in playable terrain compared to SKATE 2, but I digress-

The Good-

More refined

Better character control off and on board

You can Deck Check/Punch people

Its more fun in a lot of ways than 2, less frustrating except for a few spots

You can customize decks, shirts and other gear to suit your taste or logo preference

The Bad-

The character editor for custom gear of your own taste is often limited by where it allows you to place things, IE you cant put a logo on the back of a hat or multiple logos on stuff

There is NO way to actually save a game manually, its an auto save which is normally fine except this one only saves when you unlock a set achievement. So if you bust out a gajillion point trick and then later turn off your console because you are done playing its gone, and wont reflect in your stats unless you do some cool stuff then do an event and beat it thus causing the game to save. Thats ok at first, but once everything is beat you can forget about it saving what you did(which brings me to my other point)

There isnt that much to actually do in this game, like way less than 2. I only did the actual contests etc casually as I mostly free skate and I beat this game in a month

Not a lot of playable terrain, its not one big city is three small areas that are in no way connected and you must 'beam' yourself between these areas. The playable map is like 1/2 or less of the map w/ all kinds of dead space in between they should have filled w/ terrain to skate

If the game was 20 or 30 bucks, it would be worth it but not at current price its a waste of money, might as well have been an expansion for as short as it is

All the cool codes and stuff you can get for parks, gear etc;, are online only which means you must have XBox live to get the content

All the online stuff is horribly glitchy, doesnt work more than it does and is a general a royal cluster flop on EAs side, Codes dont work as they should, stuff wont download etc Graphics you make dissappear or wont load etc etc etc

EAs total lack of concern for the players who paid way to much for an under featured game w/ serious technical issues and glitchs galore none of which EA is really rushing to fix

My opinion is if you like the SKATE series, buy it, but WAIT until it hits the 20 Dollar shelf at your local Big Chain store and hope its issues have been fixed online wise but dont expect too muchGet more detail about Skate 3.

Cheap Skate 3

I really enjoy playing this game. Its a fun game to play with a bunch of your friends on Play 3. The only thing I didn't like about this game is having to teleport to different districts in the city. I enjoy being able to ride through the whole city like in skate and skate 2, but overall its a great game to buy if you like skateboarding games.Get more detail about Skate 3.

Save Skate 3

This plays just like Skate 2, it even takes joking nods at it's predecessors flaws like when the annoying camera man from the previous two games hands the camera to a new guy and says, "don't talk a lot, they hate it when you talk." They've also replaced the infuriating s-k-a-t-e (horse clone) game with a much more respectable who-can-get-the-highest-score game. The new editor is fabulous, but I couldn't find any way to invite friends to my skate park. What's the point of being able to design a park if you can't ride around in it with friends? The redesigned multiplayer is nice, but it's not really different from the previous skate 2 multiplayer accept the points are linked. You can't ride around in free-mode with friends, you have to hope from location to location just like before. It would be nice to see a giant MMO-like setting. The only time the game comes close is actually in single player. When you add friends, their avatar will pop into your single player game randomly as a computer AI.

Here's where EA ruins the show. A lot of people are complaining about this new money-making strategy that EA is doing where if you want to use the online features you have to buy a $10 activation add-on. The people who buy the game brand new get their very own copy, but that means people who buy the game used have to shell out extra money to play online. That's just something to know if you're buying this game used.

One more thing. Shortly after I got Skate 3, and I got to about 1.5 million boards, my PS3 broke and I bought a new one. I tried to transfer my save file to the new PS3 but EA doesn't feel that I am capable of doing that so they locked it down. Even copying over the save file from a backup didn't work which is disturbing. I loaded up skate 3 and the game went black and wouldn't load anything (on my new PS3). I know it has some strict online features, but couldn't they just link the save file with the online id as I sign in? That would be a lot more responsible than ruining hours and hours of work.

In short: This game is fantastic, it fixes most of the flaws, but it doesn't really improve on much. The editor is nice, but lonely, and whatever you do don't let your PS3 break. _Get more detail about Skate 3.

Mmm, I had a bad feeling about this one. Too soon for a third installment, EA and Black Box dove into this with no regard. I've played the first two and had a great time, but now it's getting a tad Tony Hawk. The new tricks, such as Dark catch/slides and underflips bring some freshness, but not much. I'd like to see more flatland tricks such as Caspers and Truckstands, but that's just me. Perhaps they failed to get permission from the Mutt himself to reproduce his magic. The Hall of Meat has gone redonk-ulous with the high flying acrobatics (anyone remember doing 360 McTwists over helicopters ala THUG?). Ay-yi-yi. Some great terrain design, but on a whole, it doesn't connect as one big city to skate in unlike San Van. You basically teleport from place to place, which can be great when you don't want to four-wheel it all the way to a challenge, but I must honestly say, there's nothing like being able to long lines from top of the mountain and ending up downtown.

This whole teaming up and throwing down thing seems a tad contrived as skateboarding at it's purest is a single participatory activity (Coach Frank, the virtual skate coach hilariously voiced by Jason Lee actually addresses this in an onscreen tip during the load screen). Teams, product, magazines, while good is not the heart of skating. On the other hand, I did like the Hardcore mode which is really close to real skating. Nice animations on the bails and semi-bails/recovery. Even the drop board-push-from-standing is a nice touch. I also like that grinds aren't so magnetic and you really have to line yourself up to ledges. Tricking in and out of grinds is almost impossible, but totally rewarding when you pull off them off and those nerve-wracking combos.

If you're a real big xbox live community geek, then the online stuff is right up your alley. Where else can you make a pseudo name for yourself by racking up online points to be a faux board company mogul? You can do most challenges online with your self made "team" or join other skaters online to form a team that way, which I suppose is better than holing yourself up in your bedroom, being anti-social and scarfing twinkies and pepsi max.

Most will find this a fun romp, which it can be, but for me personally, is no substitute for the real thing. Now go skate!Get more detail about Skate 3.

Since Skate 1 originally launched, I've been a huge fan of this series. The games in this series all make you feel like a badass and make you do crazy stuff, while still being somewhat realistic. What makes this game stand out from the previous two is that it has perfected the mechanics of the games. Besides a couple of bugs I've noticed, they've fixed the on foot moving, they've fixed how long it used to take after you bailed, they've fixed all the little annoyances in the series. I will admit, I was skeptical of how this game would do, as it didn't seem like it had anything going for it. Skate was this all new revolutionary game, and Skate 2 took that and made it bigger and allowed you to walk. Where do you go from there? You get the little things right. Of course some new locales were put in, but its just great to see how all my gripes that I used to whine about Skate 1 and 2 are gone. No more, why does my character walk so awkwardly, why does it take so long for this guy to stand up, why can't I do Darkslides/Underflips, why can't I do Hall Of Meat whenever I want instead of just when an amazing bail occurs. Its a game that. for me, got everything right this time, and it was worth the $60.Get more detail about Skate 3.

Skate 3 Best Quality

Though this game may have a few minor flaws, it is easily the best in EA's skate series.

Improved walking mechanics, a few new tricks thrown in, and a skate.Park creater are just a few of the new things added to this installment of the game.

Sell boards, earn things, progress through the game having fun. That's what it's all about, in my personal opinion.

As someone who skated for four years, this game is by far the closest thing to the real deal. Tricks look amazing, set-up is basically the exact thing as in real life on hardcore mode, and I'm loving every minute of it.

This is the skate game everyone has been looking and waiting for. Sure Tony Hawk's series will forever be remembered as the beginning of something great, but EA's skate 3 tops off the genre with aplomb.

Is this new game worth your money? I was skeptic, but it was definitely worth it. What a smooth execution.

Skate 3 Top Quality

Others commented on the improvements over Skate and Skate 2. Yes everything is better. The skating/trick pulling off is much smoother and quicker in Skate 3. You'll be ridding rails in no time. The graphics are improved and more refined, although some early online reviews said it looks the same pretty much as Skate 2, I saw differences right away. More colorful and detailed world to skate in. Yes, the areas are huge and really much more interesting than previous Skate titles. Character customization is much improved, as is the level of detail everywhere. I suggest once you get the basic playstyle down through the tutorial, if you havn't played a Skate game before is to free skate and see some of the scenery. I spent hours just cruzin' around, pulling off tricks and such with other AI skaters and civilians. The skatepark I found was a blast, as is skating down some posh area streets downhill bypassing or jumping over/off the traffic. There are more items in the world to manipulate now, like knocking down a row of trash cans and plowing through the crowd (who will attack you if provoked too much or just taser you). All around this is a big major improvement over Skate 2. Multi-player, sorry can't comment on that as the EA skate server was down at the moment, but what's implemented in the multi-player aspects of Skate 3 look to be a complete blast. And the editor, havn't had time to play with it yet either, but it looks very nice..and people can share what they've constructed/filmed. As someone else mentioned, if you like Skate series, or skate boarding games, or just fun sports type games then Skate 3 delivers. I have an old friend who has been working for Thrasher magazine for like 15+ years so it's nice to see so much Thrasher (among other companies) related material/support of this game. So Skate & Thrash!

Here is a list of the soundtracks from a site and it's a nice diversity from punk rock, post-punk, hip-hop/rap, new wave, electo, funk, psychedelic etc:

*3 Inches Of Blood - "Battles And Brotherhood"
*Agent Orange - "Bloodstains"
*Animal Collective - "Summertime Clothes"
*Beastie Boys - "Lee Majors Come Again"
*Benjy Ferree - "Come to Me, Coming to Me"

*Ol Dirty Bastard - "Shimmy Shimmy Ya"
*Pixies - "Debaser"
*Q Lazarus - "Goodbye Horses" (note: this isn't the original non-electo/vocals version, it is the one heard from "Silence of the Lambs")

*Young Jeezy feat. Kanye West - "Put On"

In addition to these songs, Skate 3 has an original score (exclusive to Skate 3) by Del The Funky Homosapien, John King of the Dust Brothers, and Mark Mothersbaugh of Devo that you will unlock as you explore more and pull off sweet tricks.

Skate 3

I have really been enjoying my time with Skate 3. The game improves upon everything I loved from the original Skate and Skate 2. I spent an absolute disgusting amount of hours playing Skate 2 and received all 1500 gamerscore points. To say that I am a veteran of the Skate series may be an understatement. I had a great time in San Vanelona, but amazingly I have been enjoying the new Port Carverton even more. The locales are much more skate friendly. Each of the districts (University, Downtown, and Industrial) offer unique places to skate and have a great time.

Also I love the new online options. The ability to create a team with Xbox Live friends and complete challenges works very well. For fans of freeskate it is back and it is awesome. Having troble completing a career challenge? Jump online and get help completing the challenge with members of skate's dedicated community.

Skate 3 also features an improved soundtrack, skate park editor, and all sorts of great customization to create your ultimate Skate team online or offline. As stated on the official website skate.Create and Share is back and better than ever:

"skate.Create and Share - Returning favorites skate.Reel and skate.Graphics are back. The all-new Skate.Park is an open canvas for players to create their dream plaza or mega-ramp park. Once created, they can share their masterpieces with the world by uploading them directly from their console. "

If you liked the original Skate or Skate 2 you will love Skate 3. Black Box has loaded the title to the brim with amazing content. The game is now more accessible than ever with three difficulty options (Easy, Normal, and Hardcore), although the game may still be a bit difficult even on the Easy setting for newcomers. Thankfully you can practice the basics again and again with the assistance of Coach Frank.

For those new to the series I would recommend that you download the demo from PSN or Xbox Live prior to purchase. You will need to get used to and practice the flick-it controls. It shouldn't take too long before you can start busting some mad tricks.

Oh and did I mention the awesomeness of the Super-Ultra Mega Park?

See you on the streets of Port Carverton!

The local multi-player "Own the Spot" challenges on Skate 2 were our favorite as it gives a time limit to everyone's turn... This doesn't appear to be present now.Get more detail about Skate 3.

Skate 3 Right now

I really enjoy playing this game. Its a fun game to play with a bunch of your friends on xbox live. The only thing I didnt like about this game is having to teleport to different districts in the city. I enjoy being able to ride through the whole city like in skate and skate 2, but overall its a great game to buy if you like skateboarding games.Get more detail about Skate 3.

Lowest Price Skate 3

Skate 3 includes an amazing park editor, great new video tools, and the challenges are more fun than the last game. Overall, I think EA did a good job with this game.Get more detail about Skate 3.

Low Price Skate 3

The skate series has done nothing but improve. From Skate to Skate 2 you could get off your board and move objects. Now with Skate 3 you are able to build parks with an editor, do more tricks including dark-slides and more as well as play with both an online and in game team.

Along with this, they have really improved the skate school portion -- and as an added bonus you get to hear the guy who plays "My Name is Earl" say manuals like "man-u-elles" lol.

Great replay value as always -- probably will never sell it back until maybe skate 4.Get more detail about Skate 3.

Buying Skate 3

This is the third game in the skate series so there is a lot of background info from the other two games that would help make the game make more sense. So I would recommend that you at least play the second one first which is a great game. This game has many improvements from the first and second one including brighter more vibrant colors and more realistic game play. Although the bails have gotten a lot less realistic so if you play for the laughter of watching your skater wreck himself, play the second skate. Otherwise this game is excellent.

Purchase Teal Travel Jewelry Case Organizer

Be careful to measure out the size before ordering. I expected it to be small, but was unpleasantly surprised to see how tiny it is. Not a usable size in my book. Much more blue than teal in color.Get more detail about Teal Travel Jewelry Case Organizer.

Buy Tarina Tarantino Pink Head Russian Nouveau Jewelry Box

I thought it was a cute design. However, I was very disappointed when I received the box and found out it was cardboard. This was supposed to be given a birthday present. I was very offended and felt cheated. I returned to the page on Amazon but found nothing in the description that gave any indication that this was pretty much just a cheap cigar box. I felt it was wrong to offer a young girl a cardboard box as a birthday present, designer or not. Apparently, I'm not the target audience. I sent it back and used my forty dollars on something a little more substantial. The company did refund my money in a few weeks after deducting a shipping charge.

Save Personal Jewelry Presentation Folder Storage Display Case

i bought this to be able to move my limited jewelry collection overseas. i didn't want the movers to handle it, just something to pack in my carry-on so that it was in my control the whole trip. IT WORKED! all of my jewelry fit in it (admittedly, not a large collection), it had better features than expected -- the earring holder had pre-cut holes for the studs/hoops. overall good product.Get more detail about Personal Jewelry Presentation Folder Storage Display Case.

Cheapest Sunshine Polishing Cloth- 5" x 8" Double-Sided

My 14k gold bracelet was looking a little dull. I have polished it in the past using my Dremel tool/polishing wheel and jeweler's rouge which did an excellent job. This cloth works almost as well for restoring a mirror like shine. For all but scratches this cloth does a fine job of restoring the luster. Note: I've only used this cloth on a 14k gold curb link bracelet.Get more detail about Sunshine Polishing Cloth- 5" x 8" Double-Sided.

Cheap Compact Ultrasonic Jewelry Cleaner

I was nervous about these things because people have said that it can vibrate the diamonds/loose on a ring....but after using it I love it. I would definately recommend this product!!!Get more detail about Compact Ultrasonic Jewelry Cleaner.
