I order this model from Amazon, for US$1,299.00 the only difference was that it was in white. I was unsure because the price was too low, but decided to go ahead, the watch is original & Brand New, and in perfect conditions, LOVE IT!!! Specially the price. Of course from Amazon you do not get an international warranty, just the Amazon one which I think is enough, I think in this issue consists the price reduction becuase Amazon is not an authorized retailer from TAG, but in this kind of watches rarely you'll need to repair them, ans you have a warranty for it... The delivery was amazing, right on the spot.

The Watch:
At first I was not too keen on the shinny markers of the rotating crown, until I gave it a very strong hit against a pool bottom, while diving, this markers are an excellent protection against this kind of accidents. Sapphire crystal has already been given various tests and pass with flying colors. Of course this is an automatic, do not expect the accuracy of a quartz, but if you know about watches you'll get an automatic, well worth timepiece. What I liked most about this watch is the disposition of the chronometer, very similar to the Link (200m Water Resistance), and Carrera models(50m Water Resistance), but with 300 meters resistance to water and with lower price.

On the down sides, the crown rotates to easy for my taste, the bracelet polished parts will get scratched as well as the shiny markers on the rotating crown and the security clasp will wear down over time, but still FIVE STARS for the watch, TAG HEUER and AMAZON are my personal favorites...

Be sure to check all offers, this watches become available from time to time in the great deals around $1,300.00 from AMAZON... I surely will buy another one for my collection.

I received a Tag Heuer Carerra 2 1/2 years ago as a Father's Day gift. Over the last 8-12 months each of the crowns (there are 3) fell off. The last one missing now renders the watch unusable. Took it to Tourneau for repair who say they send it to Tag for service. The estimate is $800!!! The watch was $2500. I have been unable to contact Tag Heuer to discuss this with them. No email provided and 800 number leads to a circular phone tree. The prompt for customer care just rings with no answer. This is terrible customer service and terrible product care. The F1 Tag has been around forever, and unlike some other Tag styles (which have come and gone) it's a classic. Many other watch manufacturers have copied it. Along with the Link series, I would say this is one of the most popular Tag lines. I admit it's not a dress watch per se, but the latest incarnation is very sharp and one can wear it with a suit. Quality is top notch! I believe the black chronograph is the best of them' all.

This is my first watch purchase from Amazon, and you cannot beat the price. A very well known watch store by me was at least $350 more (plus tax). Amazon offers it own guarantee on the watches they sell but beyond that I have nothing more to add. Rest assured though, the watches are authentic and the savings cannot be ignored. The appearance is striking. The blue wave dial is almost "electric", but it is not overpowering. I like the stainless bezel over those that match the dial color. It adds a more professional feel, but is still great to wear with jeans. Same goes for the fact the rotating bezel is "scalloped" and not "coin edge." The luminescent markers stand up to their reputation. It is not too heavy and sits very comfortably on the wrist. I also like the fact this model has a 41.3 mm case. It is not too small. Likewise, it doesn't look like you are wearing a satellite dish on your wrist as is the case with the 50 mm + dials. I chose quartz over auto (2255.80)for a number of reasons, not the least of which is the hassle of having the movement serviced more frequently. I chose this model over the more popular "Bond" models because it is more unique, and I sought a look that you don't see everyday. I would highly recommend having the bracelet sized professionally. I did mine myself, and found it extremely difficult due to the design of the band, despite the fact I had all the tools I thought were sufficient. I purchased this Omega only after lusting after a Seamaster for 10 years- I researched this model as well as the james bond (didnt like the 007 wavy background) and also the 2264 which is awesome but I decided the blue was classy and also a little more fun than black- I bought from Amazon as they give a 5 year warranty- also comes with the serial numbers (note:does not come with the cards) the watch is perfect sized, listed at 41, looks like 43mm when all is said and done- classy and sporty, plus the heritage is great, light weight but masculine- has a great finish and glare proofing on the crystal make it well worth the price- high re-sale value as well make it a good investment you can wear daily!
