Shop For Skate 3

Well this is a great game if you want more Skate and improves over Skate 2 in the following ways:

-Skatepark Creator that lets you build stuff anywhere (seriously, you can build stuff in the middle of the street)
-More online features
-Better controls walking
-Slightly improved graphics (less drops in frame rate too)
-New easy and hard mode
-Great new map
-Good soundtrack
-New missions (but they are repetitive of the last two games)
-Continual updates

Now for the ugly bad:

-EA charges $10 for the "Skate Share Pack" that is included free with the game. The problem here is that if you buy a used copy of this game there is a good chance that this code has already been activated and you will need to spend $10 to be able to upload and download custom skate parks, photos, and replays. This is of course a continuation of the video games industries attempt to profit/stop the 2nd hand market for games as they do not make any money off those. Many people buy games with the knowledge that they can sell the game later if they don't like or they get bored with it and this restriction is an attempt to prevent you from being able to sell what is yours and what you paid for. Even PC games with outrageous DRM allow a limited number of installs, so a one time use activation code is ridiculous.
-EA is continually releasing DLC, which is a good thing for some as it keeps the game fresh, but in all honesty most of the DLC content is overpriced and should be priced lower or somethings should be give out for free.
-Missions are not as fun as Skate 2 (The Danny Way missions from Skate 2 were a blast, but Skate 3 is lacking unique missions that are more than just a contest or a photo shoot)

If you care about your rights of being able to sell what you own and hate DRM (or in this case an attempt to prevent people from selling and buying used copies), then you should boycott this game. That is probably too extreme for most people as this is a fun game besides the bad parts, but if you let EA take your rights now, then it will only be a matter of time before all games have limited number of users and other ridiculous restrictions.Get more detail about Skate 3.
